Mocobizscene- The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating a tragic incident that took place in southeast D.C. early Saturday morning. The incident involved an acquaintance who fatally struck a man. The MPD is actively seeking answers in relation to this unfortunate event.
A pedestrian walking along the road in the 600 block of L Street SE at around 1:40 a.m. had a terrifying encounter. Out of nowhere, a truck that had been parked suddenly accelerated and collided with the unsuspecting walker. The MPD reported the incident.
The driver fled the scene but later contacted the police. The injured individual was transported to a nearby medical facility, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The authorities have identified the victim as Torre Desmond Gray Sr., a 37-year-old resident of Temple Hills, Maryland, as reported by the D.C. Police.
According to a preliminary report from MPD during their ongoing investigation, it has been revealed that both the driver and the victim were acquainted with each other.
