Mocobizscene- Authorities have charged two suspects in relation to an armed robbery that took place in Tysons in December. Fairfax County police have also announced the recovery of 13 firearms, three of which were reported stolen, and 4 pounds of methamphetamine.
On December 19th at 3:46 a.m., police officers swiftly responded to a robbery incident at the Residence Inn located at 8400 Old Courthouse Road in Tysons. According to authorities, the perpetrators brandished a firearm and assaulted the victim using the butt of the gun, before fleeing the scene with stolen money.
Michael Christopher Bond, aged 33, from Maryland, and Ann Sue Hyun Lee, aged 26, from Sterling, have been identified by detectives as the suspects in the case. Arrest warrants have been obtained for both individuals.
With the help of the Prince George’s County Police Department, the detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department’s Fugitive Track and Apprehension Squad carried out a search warrant at a residence in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and successfully apprehended the suspects.
Authorities charged bond with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Lee has been charged with multiple offenses, including robbery, using a firearm while committing a felony, bringing more than 1 ounce of a Schedule I/II substance into Virginia, possessing a firearm along with Schedule I/II narcotics, possessing ammunition as a convicted felon, possessing a firearm as a non-violent convicted felon, and possessing Schedule I/II narcotics with the intention to distribute.
The authorities are currently holding both suspects in custody without the possibility of bond.
