Huntsville Police: 2 people were discovered with approximately 3 pounds of fentanyl-pressed pills

In Huntsville, two persons were detained for narcotics trafficking.

Curtis Mandorie Hicks, 44, of Miami, and Crystal Sameka Smith, 43, of Orlando, were charged with drug trafficking by the North Alabama Drug Task Force.

The arrests occurred around 1 a.m. Monday in the neighbourhood of Old Madison Pike and Robinhood Lane, according to the Huntsville Police Department.

According to police, both individuals are from Florida.

Hicks and Smith possessed approximately 3 pounds of fentanyl-pressed pills. According to police, the pills were designed to seem like ecstasy pills.

They were both brought into the Madison County Jail on a $1.5 million bond apiece.
