After drinking and driving, an Albertville guy was apprehended.
According to Owens Cross Roads Police, Oscar De La Cruz Bernal, 21, was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Officers received a “Be on the Lookout” complaint over the radio on Friday evening about a pickup that allegedly hit a road sign and was weaving quite visibly. Officers searched the area for the vehicle.
According to police, an officer found a car that matched the description and noticed evidence of suspected intoxication.
The officer made a traffic stop near US 431 and Old Highway 431, and police claimed they arrested him after a field sobriety test.
Bernal was placed into the Marshall County Jail after passing a breath test.
According to police, Bernal tested at 0.19, which is more than twice the 0.08 limit for an adult.
Bernal was released on Saturday after bond was set at $1,000.
