An 18-year-old man was killed in a shooting in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – On Thursday night, a tragic incident occurred as an 18-year-old was shot and killed in Birmingham.

According to the Birmingham Police, they received a report of a person shot on the 3100 block of 33rd Place North and immediately responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the person shot, identified as Adrien Harris, had been taken to UAB Hospital by a private vehicle. Sadly, Harris was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Police have reason to believe that the shooting was not a random act of violence.

At this time, no one has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Adrien Harris.
