Mocobizscene-Following a police pursuit, a teenager from New Orleans lost their life in an automobile accident in Pointe Coupee Parish. The Chevy Suburban was reported stolen and used in many hit-and-run incidents.
Iberville Parish Sheriff’s deputies used spike strips during the pursuit, but the vehicle kept going toward Pointe Coupee. The SUV struck a tree and caught fire after entering Pointe Coupee.
The 16-year-old driver perished in the flames, while a 13-year-old girl was saved from the passenger seat.
