Child Injured In Shooting In Southeast DC, Hospitalized

Mocobizscene- A young child is receiving medical treatment in the hospital after being involved in a shooting incident in Southeast DC, according to the police. The Metropolitan Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that resulted in a toddler being hospitalized on Sunday, according to officials.

A toddler was hospitalized on Sunday after a shooting, according to officials from the Metropolitan Police Department who are currently conducting an investigation.

Around 11 p.m., the D.C. Police were alerted about a shooting incident in the 100 block of 56th Place Southeast. When the officers reached the scene, they discovered a toddler who had been shot. Fortunately, the child was conscious and breathing despite the injury. The police stated that the toddler was in need of immediate medical attention.

The police reported that they transported the child to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The police have stated that they are not actively searching for a suspect at the moment. However, if anyone has any information, they are urged to contact MPD.
