Mocobizscene- A man from Wisconsin who was wanted in multiple counties has been apprehended in Indiana, according to the U.S. Marshals Service- Madison.
According to the USMS, Anthony Fulton was released from federal custody on July 13, 2023, in Arizona but failed to report to his supervised release officer in Madison. In September, authorities attempted to apprehend him in Indiana based on a tip about his whereabouts, but Fulton managed to evade capture.
On Wednesday, the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force discovered that Fulton and his girlfriend were residing at a motel in Warsaw, Indiana. Warsaw is located approximately 40 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.
Around 2:45 p.m., officers apprehended Fulton and his girlfriend as they were leaving the hotel. They surrounded them and successfully took Fulton into custody.
Fulton faces multiple charges including a federal supervised release violation, disorderly conduct, failure to register as a sex offender, resisting or obstructing an officer, and intimidation. There were outstanding warrants for his arrest in several counties, including Adams, Richland, and Winnebago in Wisconsin, as well as Kosciusko and Whitley in Indiana.
The USMS has stated that he has previous convictions for sexual battery, failure to register as a sex offender, and two federal supervised release violations.
