Police and law enforcement sources reported that early Thanksgiving morning, an altercation with another group outside a lower Manhattan axe throwing bar resulted in the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy and the injury of his 19-year-old sibling, both of whom were struck with knives.
Police say the fatal stabbing occurred in Chinatown at approximately 1:50 a.m. when the victims engaged in an altercation outside Live Axe, an axe-throwing establishment located at 96 Lafayette St.Uncertainty surrounds the cause of the argument.
The two adolescents, according to the NYPD, were both stabbed in the torso. The 17-year-old was pronounced deceased at Bellevue Hospital after being transported there. He evaded immediate identification. According to police, the older sibling was also transported to Bellevue and is in stable condition. As per sources, an axe was not utilized in the incident.
