Shooting Outside Sardi’s Restaurant in Times Square Injures 16-Year-Old

In Times Square, five teenagers were detained by authorities overnight after a shooting incident occurred outside Sardi’s restaurant. Around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, a shooting occurred on West 44th Street between 7th and 8th avenues.

According to the police, a heated argument between two groups of teenagers ensued, and one of the individuals involved drew out a firearm and commenced shooting.

A teenager, aged 16, sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was immediately rushed to the hospital and is currently in serious condition. However, medical professionals are optimistic about his chances of survival.

It seems that out of the five individuals currently in custody, only one is expected to face charges. According to investigators, the shooting does not seem to have any connection with gang activity.
