Arrest made by Montgomery police in stabbing incident downtown

According to the Montgomery Police Department, a man from Montgomery, aged 53, has been charged with second-degree assault for stabbing another individual.

According to an email from Maj. Saba Coleman, the police and fire medics swiftly responded to a stabbing incident that occurred around 1:05 p.m. on Thursday at the 300 block of Madison Avenue in downtown. Following the attack, Wilferdo Coleman was taken into police custody in relation to the stabbing. Presently, he is being held without bond at the Montgomery County jail.

First responders transported the victim to the hospital, who sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. According to the email sent by Coleman, the police are refraining from disclosing any further details at the moment.
