The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who is thought to have been involved in illegal possession of firearms. The incident occurred on October 29, 2023, when officers were notified of an unknown black male carrying an illegal firearm on Macarthur Boulevard. The department is urging anyone with information about the suspect to come forward and aid in the investigation.
Upon the arrival of the police, the suspect made a run for it, abandoning a green backpack that was later discovered to contain an AK-47 pistol. At present, the suspect is still at large and is believed to be approximately 5’8″ in height, weighing roughly 150 lbs.
The NOPD is currently seeking information about a suspect who was last spotted wearing a white tank top, blue jeans, and a grey hat. If you have any information about this individual, please come forward and assist in the investigation.
