Mocobizscene- Officials from the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) are currently investigating a multi-vehicle crash that resulted in injuries to multiple individuals and caused significant delays, leading to the closure of the US-50 Bay Bridge on Saturday morning. According to a news release, the MDTA Police received the first reports of the incident at around 8 a.m.
The US-50 Bay Bridge has completely reopened, and all lanes are now accessible to drivers.
The bridge is renowned for its picturesque beauty and serves as a link between the ocean regions on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and the cities of Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and Annapolis.
According to a news release, several individuals have been transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. Unfortunately, the specific details regarding the severity of the damages and injuries have not been disclosed.
