Police say suspect kidnaps, assaults, and carjacks Northwest DC man

WASHINGTON– On January 9 in the 400 block of K Street, Northwest, a man was attacked, robbed, and abducted. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is looking for the person responsible.

According to the police, at approximately 7:34 p.m., the suspect abruptly braked his car in front of another vehicle by forcing it to halt. According to the police, the suspect then exited his vehicle and went over to the victim who was sitting in it.

According to police, the suspect then made the victim get into the passenger seat of his vehicle and sped off, driving to a nearby ATM to take out cash. The suspect left the victim at an unidentified place after robbing him of his car and money.

Surveillance footage from the victim’s 2023 white Mitsubishi Outlander Sport SUV with MD tags 3FJ4177 shows the suspect driving off. The car’s rearview mirror was also broken, according to the police.
