Police say a gunman entered a Belmont Shore home and shot a man

Mocobizscene- Long Beach police reported that a man was shot and hospitalized in Belmont Shore after an intruder entered his home on Wednesday morning.Authorities were called to the scene of a home where another person living there reported a wounded man. The Long Beach Fire Department personnel then transported the injured man to a local hospital. Currently, he is in stable condition according to the police.

Authorities are currently in the process of gathering additional details to determine the identity and motive of the suspect responsible for shooting the victim. The extent of any prior relationship between the two individuals remains unclear at this time.

Police said that evidence linked to the shooting was found by officers at the scene. They also mentioned that detectives are currently surveying the area in search of witnesses and video footage.
