NYC woman burned elderly neighbor with gasoline because he owed her mone

Mocobizscene-  Sunday, authorities say a 73-year-old neighbor in Brooklyn was doused in gasoline and set on fire by a Brooklyn woman who was furious with him for refusing to pay her money.

According to police, Denise Wylie, 62, erupted in a fit of fury when she descended the stairs to retrieve the debt from her ex-friend, who had promised to reimburse her the following day. Court documents state that around 5:00 p.m., Wylie poured gasoline on his back and face before setting him ablaze in the Chester Street apartment building in Brownsville.

EMTs transported the victim with second- and third-degree burns to the burn center at Staten Island Hospital, where they were assessed as critical.
