Mocobizscene- The New Orleans Police announced on Tuesday that they have successfully apprehended the teenager who escaped from juvenile custody in New Orleans last month and subsequently threatened a woman with a firearm. The capture took place near Atlanta, where the teenager was found and detained.
The NOPD received notification from the U.S. Marshals that Kai Jefferson had been arrested in DeKalb County, Georgia. The collaborative efforts of the NOPD and the U.S. Marshals Office in New Orleans were instrumental in locating and apprehending Jefferson.
Jefferson faces charges for three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of criminal damage to property.
Jefferson had a warrant from the Louisiana State Office of Juvenile Justice, which led to his booking.
