Jalen Culver, a 22-year-old individual, was convicted yesterday by a Hudson County jury. The conviction was in relation to the shooting incident that resulted in the unfortunate death of Zaimeir Bell, a 17-year-old resident of Jersey City. The incident occurred on March 21, 2021. Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez delivered the verdict.
After a four-day trial, Culver was convicted of Manslaughter, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. However, he was acquitted of Aggravated Manslaughter.
