The Homicide Branch of the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is currently investigating a deadly shooting that took place in Southeast D.C. on Sunday evening.
Around 11:00 p.m., in the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue, a distressing incident unfolded. Officers, who happened to be nearby, heard gunshots and witnessed a vehicle hastily fleeing the scene. Without wasting time, they swiftly located the vehicle and discovered a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. Sadly, despite immediate transportation to a local hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
