Mocobizscene- Eddie Rodrigue, 27, is the man who was discovered dead on New Year’s Day in the 7200 block of Burke Road, according to the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office.
According to police, there was a “foul odour” in the vicinity when officers arrived at 9:14 a.m. on Monday to investigate an unrelated incident. Rodrigue’s body was shortly found beneath a mattress. At the scene, he was declared deceased.
The initial cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound, and the coroner declared the death to be a homicide.
