Mocobizscene- According to the Westminster authorities Department, authorities were called to the 6600 block of Westminster Boulevard last night at about 11:00 p.m. in response to reports of gunfire.
Witnesses reported seeing a white truck drive away. A high-risk traffic stop was started after officers found the car at Edwards and Westminster. There were no problems throughout the residents’ detention.
After getting permission from the owner/driver of the car, the police found a loaded magazine under the driver’s seat. A loaded magazine-carrying Glock 34 9MM that had been reported stolen was found beneath the passenger seat with the help of a Westminster Police Department K-9 canine.
The driver was taken into custody at the Orange County Jail after being charged with multiple firearms violations and firing a pistol with extreme negligence.
