Mocobizscene– A major traffic collision involving multiple vehicles occurred on the 101 Freeway in the Hollywood area of Los Angeles early Monday morning. A wrong-way driver caused the collision.
Around 2 a.m., reports flooded into the California Highway Patrol’s Central Los Angeles Office. The reports detailed a harrowing situation: a driver going the wrong way on the 101 Freeway, heading northbound in the southbound lanes. This dangerous occurrence occurred after the driver entered the freeway from the Sunset Boulevard off-ramp.
The vehicle kept going in the wrong direction until it caused a collision at the Hollywood Boulevard exit, involving at least six vehicles. One individual in critical condition was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The closure of the southbound 101 Freeway was estimated to last around 30 minutes.
