Mocobizscene- The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that a crash took place around 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday in the 17300 block of Saticoy Street.
The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported that a collision occurred between a blue Lexus RC and a 2021 white Toyota Tacoma. As a result of the accident, the truck collided with a tree and a commercial building, causing damage to a natural gas meter. Fortunately, LAFD crews were able to promptly address the situation and stop the natural gas leak, ensuring that there was no fire.
According to Humphrey, the LAPD Valley Traffic Division investigators will formally determine the specific cause of the collision and any related factors, despite the rain in the area this morning.
SoCalGas crews quickly responded to the scene, accompanied by building and health inspectors. Unfortunately, a restaurant sustained damage in the incident, necessitating a health inspection, as reported by the LAFD.
According to Humphrey, the vehicle that crashed into the building belonged to a commercial pest control company. The impact was so strong that it caused the truck’s cargo of commercial pesticide containers to be thrown out onto the road and the building. As a precautionary measure, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) has called in a Hazardous Materials Squad to assess the situation and ensure that no actual pesticide has been spilled.
