Local Southeast Teen Arrested for January Pennsylvania Avenue Shooting

Mocobizscene- Detectives from the First District of the Metropolitan Police Department have taken into custody a 16-year-old boy. The shooting incident on Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast, is connected to the arrest. On January 3, 2024, the adolescent, who lives in Southeast, Washington, DC, is accused of firing at a victim. But the bullet didn’t find its target.

Following the gunshot, the suspect fled the scene. Later, on February 2, 2024, he was captured during a police inquiry. The gunshot happened on the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue early in the morning, at about 8:47 a.m.

The adolescent is accused of multiple offenses. These consist of Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Possession of Unregistered Ammunition, and Assault with Intent to Murder.
