Campus police have arrested a football player from the Troy Trojans, leading to his suspension. This incident took place in Troy, Alabama, as reported by WSFA. 18-year-old freshman cornerback Timothy Roberson was arrested on Wednesday night and charged with second-degree possession of marijuana. He was then booked into the Pike County jail.
It is unclear what led to the arrest, but according to records, he was able to post bail at a cost of $1,000 soon after being taken into custody. The university has released a statement acknowledging the situation involving Tim Roberson. As a result, he has been suspended from the program until the investigation is completed.
He has only appeared in two games so far this season.
