Man crossing street in Times Square dies in a collision caused by a truck driver

A man was tragically killed on Friday morning after being struck by a pickup truck driver while crossing a street near the TKTS booth in Times Square, according to police reports.

Around 6:30 a.m., the driver of a Ford pickup struck a man in his 40s who was crossing Seventh Avenue at West 47th Street. The victim suffered injuries from the accident. Police reported that the victim was hit by the driver, a 49-year-old man, as he was turning left onto Seventh Avenue.

According to the authorities, the victim experienced injuries to both his head and body, resulting in trauma. The individual was declared deceased on-site and their identity has yet to be disclosed.

As of now, the driver has stayed at the location where the incident occurred. It has not been reported if any arrests have been made yet.
