Mocobizscene-The Martin County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation detectives successfully captured three individuals who had 10,000 ‘freshly pressed’ fentanyl pills in their possession. The value of these pills is estimated to be $300,000. It is believed that these men have connections to a larger drug trafficking operation.
The authorities intercepted the drugs during transportation from New York. The interception occurred in the parking lot of a retail shopping plaza on Federal Highway. The individuals who were caught were all residents of New York, with ages ranging from 26 to 36.
The authorities have apprehended and charged the suspects for their involvement in the illegal trade of fentanyl. If proven guilty, they may be subjected to a minimum mandatory prison sentence of 25 years.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is committed to keeping residents safe by providing important updates through the hashtag #WrongExit. Despite being on the highway, the county often becomes a breeding ground for criminals, drugs, and other illegal activities.
