At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, officers received a report of “shots fired” at the intersection of 1st and Pecan streets, close to Pecan Park and the 101 Freeway. Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered a young Hispanic male who had been shot. Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on site.
