Houses in Bronx Partially Collapses, Injuries Reported

There have been no reports of injuries, according to Fire Commissioner Laura Kavanagh; however, search teams, including a K-9 unit, are searching for any individuals who may be stranded.

At 3:38 p.m., the New York police received a complaint regarding the partial collapse at 172 West Burnside Avenue. The degree of destruction is substantial, as evidenced by visuals broadcast by local television stations which depict the building’s exterior walls gone, floors disintegrating, and corners collapsing.

In the Bronx, individuals are advised to refrain from entering the vicinity of West Burnside Avenue between Osborne Place and Phelan Place as a result of the urgent response to the structural catastrophe, as stated by the police.
