One of the white males engaged in the video riverboat brawl in Alabama is feeling the heat online through his little business… which has received only one-star ratings since going viral.
Chase Shipman posted about his role in the Montgomery, AL conflict on the Facebook page of his shop, “Vasser’s Mini Mart”… which is located around 50 miles away in Selma.
He said he was one of the first to try to flee the situation, but when people linked the dots and saw him right in the thick of the conflict, they flocked to the store’s Yelp page and gave him a smackdown.
Vasser’s has received over 300 1-star reviews since Saturday’s brawl, almost all of which appear to be in the days following the viral attack… with many labeling the owner “racist,” “liar,” and “gross.”
“DO NOT SUPPORT THESE MONSTERS!!!” wrote one.
As previously reported, the brawl erupted as a riverboat attempted to land but was obstructed by other persons in a pontoon boat. When the security agent tried to urge them to move, all hell broke loose.
While some have blamed Chase and his companions for the incident, others have praised the other Black people who came down to the disturbance to help defend the guard.
