MONTGOMERY, Ala. – On Tuesday morning, Montgomery Fire/Rescue responded to a tar trailer fire at a local elementary school.
According to MF/R, five units- Engine 3, Engine 9, Truck 45, Rescue 95, and Car 33 were dispatched around 12:45 a.m. to the 4400 block of Vaughn Road on a possible structure fire.
Upon arrival, they discovered smoke and flames coming from a tar trailer located at the back of the building. Fortunately, the firefighters were able to contain the fire to the trailer without any further damage.
As per MF/R, the building was searched for any extension, but none were detected. It is worth noting that no injuries were reported, and the Bureau of Investigations is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
WSFA confirmed that the incident took place at Vaughn Road Elementary School. At this point, no further information has been released.
