Barrett Gilbreath launches campaign for mayor of Montgomery

Barrett Gilbreath launched his campaign for mayor of Montgomery with a rally in Cloverdale.

Gilbreath is a businessman from Montgomery. He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and attended Auburn University.

Gilbreath says if elected, he wants greater public safety and more possibilities, especially for Montgomery’s younger generation.

He told WAKA 8 that people need to come back to basics and quit being divided by national political issues.

Gilbreath is up against Mayor Steven Reed, who is seeking a second term, as well as Victorrus Felder and Marcus McNeal.

Montgomery city elections are scheduled for Tuesday, August 22.
