Montgomery, Alabama – The surviving driver in a fatal car accident in Montgomery nearly two years ago has been arrested.
The accident occurred in September 2021. According to Montgomery police, a pickup truck and a motorcycle crashed near Carter Hill Road and West Street. Sedrick Adams, the motorcyclist, died as a result of his injuries.
Raymond Malik Franklin Jr., 27, has been identified as the other driver. He was arrested on Tuesday after being charged with reckless manslaughter on June 30.
Franklin is suspected of driving drunk and crossing into oncoming traffic when he collided with Adams, according to the indictment.
Franklin’s bail was set at $30,000 at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
