Only drunk people acting crazy and trying to ruin the show for the rest of us are worse than the parking problem at Darien Lake concerts.
Consider this: how many times have you gone to a concert and been shoved for no reason, had beer spilt on you with no apologies, been cursed at for simply being in your seat, and other minor inconveniences as a result of inebriated concertgoers?
Think of Nickelback’s no-nonsense attitude when you think of them. They’ll tell you the truth, face you head on, and refuse to back down.
Some fans in the pit at Nickelback’s show on Wednesday had a little too much to drink and became too unruly in the audience. Even though it was only the first song, a fight broke out!
A group of 5 to 10 people began pushing and shoving in the pit while playing San Quentin. Chad took a brief break from singing to address the fight, telling them that “you’re on camera” and “we can see you.”
He was courteous enough to issue a warning, but it didn’t stop the battle from intensifying. In fact, it grew so terrible that by the time the song concluded, Nickelback had been expelled from the venue.
The video below shows the group being thrown out [with censored audio].

Hate how people get drunk and fight…
Just come to a show and have a clean fun time. pic.twitter.com/rhTIKnXoyR— Jerry Braden (@Jerrybraden92) August 17, 2023
You can watch the video below for a closer look and unedited audio, but proceed with caution.
The worst thing is when people become so drunk during a concert that they ruin it for everyone else. Nickelback deserves credit for identifying the group and removing them from the venue before they damaged another fan’s musical experience.
And if you didn’t make it to the concert, man, you lost out. It was one of Darien Lake’s loudest performances in a long time.
Nickelback is not hated in Western New York: we love them!
