Two people have been charged with capital murder in the deaths of two women at a Hoover apartment

Two men have been charged in the shooting deaths of two women in a Hoover apartment in 2022.

On July 2, a Jefferson County grand jury indicted An’ton Je’horam Lewis, 21, and Daxton Elliot Keith, 22. On Wednesday, the indictments were made public.

Both are charged with capital murder of two or more individuals in the deaths of Lauren Anne White, 39, and Blakely Meachelle Nelson, 24, on October 1, 2022.

Last year, Lewis and Keith were charged and arrested.

The bodies of White and Nelson were discovered at The Park at Hoover. That Saturday, just before 8 a.m., Hoover 911 received a call from someone reporting finding two people potentially dead inside an apartment.

Officers came and discovered the women unresponsive. At 8:11 a.m., White and Nelson, both residents of the condominium, were pronounced dead on the scene.
