BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating after four persons suffered injuries in a shooting early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a person-shot complaint around 3:10 a.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Third Avenue West, according to BPD public information officer Truman Fitzgerald. When they arrived, they discovered a man who had been shot. Birmingham Fire & Rescue took him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers soon noticed that at least three more males had been shot and were being treated at a nearby hospital. One of the men sustained potentially fatal injuries.
According to the preliminary inquiry, an argument occurred in the vicinity of a nightclub. An unidentified offender then shot a number of customers before fleeing.
There is currently no one in custody in relation to this investigation, according to the BPD.
