Breaking News: A man was killed in a car accident in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL  — On Sunday, a man was killed in an early morning collision in Jefferson County.

Deputies were summoned to the 8600 block of Rouse Road near Warrior around 3 a.m. on reports of a vehicle on its side in a nearby ditch, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrived to find a white SUV that had rolled many times and had come to rest in a ditch.

A 24-year-old man was killed in a car accident in Coosa County.

The only occupant of the vehicle was a 33-year-old guy who was pronounced dead at the site. After notifying the victim’s family, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office will identify him.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
