A man Killed in a shooting at a Birmingham business has been identified

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Early morning on Thursday, law enforcement officers were called to the location of a homicide in Birmingham.

Early in the morning at 5:15 a.m., a distressing report of a person shot at Insta Movers on Walter Davis Drive, near the Glen Iris area, was received by the Birmingham Police Department (BPD). Upon arrival, officers discovered a man lying unresponsive in a warehouse bay, who appeared to have sustained a gunshot wound.

The man’s name was revealed to be Snir Lalum, a 44-year-old resident of Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

The Lalum received critical injuries and was in dire need of immediate medical attention. The patrolling officers were quick to respond and provided him with emergency aid until the Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived. The Lalum was then rushed to UAB Hospital for further treatment.

Unfortunately, Lalum passed away due to the injuries he sustained despite receiving medical treatment at the hospital. It’s a tragic loss, and our thoughts go out to his loved ones during this difficult time.

As per the preliminary investigation conducted by BPD, it seems that an unidentified suspect or group of suspects approached the victim at the establishment and shot at him. The motive behind this heinous act is yet to be established, and as of now, there is no one in custody.

As of now, this is an ongoing story, and as further details emerge, we will keep you informed and updated.
