A family searches for a missing loved one who was shot to death in a car

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham Police Department is looking into a homicide in the 1000 block of Tin Mill Road.

Robert Alexander Brown, 22, of Bessemer, has been identified as the victim.

Family members got anxious after not hearing from Brown since Saturday afternoon, according to Birmingham Police.

Brown’s automobile was discovered in a parking lot on Tin Mill Road by relatives on Sunday morning. When a family member approached the vehicle, they spotted Brown inside with a gunshot wound and phoned authorities.

Officers and Birmingham Fire & Rescue arrived on the scene at 10:07 a.m. and pronounced Brown dead.

There have been no arrests.
