Brooklyn Woman Arrested on Multiple Charges After Late-Night Valley Stream Collision

Keyana McCray, a resident of Brooklyn, has recently been taken into custody and accused of committing multiple offenses, including DWI, Vehicular Assault 2nd Degree, and Assault 2nd Degree. The charges stem from a collision that occurred in Valley Stream, where McCray reportedly crashed head-on with another vehicle, causing injuries to several people.

According to a report from the Public Information Office, a woman from Brooklyn has been arrested in connection with an incident that took place in Valley Stream on September 24, 2023, at 4:00 a.m.

A 33-year-old woman was driving a 2020 BMW towards the west on Merrick Road, close to the Rockaway Avenue intersection when she crashed into a 2020 Chevrolet driven by a 51-year-old woman. The police reported the collision to be head-on.

Following a comprehensive inquiry, Keyana Mccray, the driver of the BMW, was apprehended without any trouble. Mccray, who resides at 484 East 94th Street, and her male passenger, aged 43, were transported to nearby medical facilities for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

After the accident, the driver of the Chevrolet was immediately transported to a nearby hospital due to severe internal injuries. Fortunately, her condition has stabilized and she is currently receiving medical attention.

The investigation is currently in progress.
