Breaking News: Two pedestrians killed after being hit by a car in Sylmar

Late Thursday evening in Sylmar, tragedy struck as a car crashed into two individuals, leaving one dead and the other in critical condition. Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones during this difficult time.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a car collided with two pedestrians near the intersection of Astoria Street and Foothill Boulevard. The accident occurred at around 7:55 p.m. when one person was pushing the other in a wheelchair across the street.

Unfortunately, the man who was pushing the wheelchair was declared deceased on the spot, and the woman was swiftly taken to a nearby medical facility where she was later pronounced dead.

The man who was involved in the incident has been identified as Paul Sanchez, aged 38. However, the identity of the woman involved in the incident is yet to be disclosed.

According to authorities, the occurrence has been confirmed as not a hit-and-run incident, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
