Gadsden grocery store shooting results in one fatality and one arrest

A shooting incident at a grocery store in Gadsden resulted in one fatality and one person being charged. D’amon Johnson (pictured), a 21-year-old individual, has been accused of murder in relation to the passing of 24-year-old Briantez Vinson, according to the Gadsden Police Department. The city of Gadsden in Alabama was recently in the news. A shooting at a grocery store in Gadsden on Friday resulted in the death of one man, while another individual has been taken into custody.

According to the Gadsden Police Department, 24-year-old Briantez Vinson’s death is linked to 21-year-old D’amon Johnson, who has been charged with murder. At Canterbury Station’s Fresh Value, located on West Meighan Blvd, an incident occurred just prior to 9:30 p.m. according to the police.

Shortly after, Gadsden Fire arrived on the scene and declared Vinson deceased. Within just 36 hours of the shooting incident, the police were able to identify Johnson as the suspect. As of now, he is being held without bond at the Etowah County Jail.
