Breaking News: Two people were killed in an accident in Birmingham on Sunday morning

On Sunday morning in Birmingham, a single-car accident killed two guys.

One of the people who died was named Carim Rasheed Heard by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office. He lived in McCalla and was 29 years old.

The second person killed was also an adult Black man, but he has not been identified yet.

At 6:10 a.m., the crash happened in the 400 block of Eighth Avenue West. No information about the crash has been made public.

Heard was taken to UAB Hospital, but at 6:53 a.m., he was declared dead.

At 6:25 a.m., the other person was said to be dead at the scene.

The Birmingham police force is investigating.
