Woodbridge Woman Shot Dead, Husband Arrested for Murder

Mocobizscene- After a shooting incident in Dumfries, Daniel Okoe Lawson, a 24-year-old male from Woodbridge, has been charged with the murder of his wife.

Desire Alexandria Buggs, also 24 years old, succumbed to her gunshot wounds at the hospital, where Lawson transported her. The gunshot occurred earlier on Saturday in Dumfries, in the vicinity of Possum Point Road and Leonard Street.

Lawson is accused of felony homicide, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting into an occupied vehicle, all of which are felonies. As the initial homicide of 2024 in Prince William County, detectives are actively pursuing additional information to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
