Mocobizscene- The Newark Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who was involved in an armed robbery at a local gas station. This incident occurred on December 26th, around 2:52 a.m. at the Millennium Gas Station on Bloomfield Avenue.
The report states that the suspect drove up to the gas station in a stolen BMW with New Jersey registration Z29EPU. As the attendant started pumping fuel into the vehicle, the suspect exited the car, wielding a weapon, and demanded money. He forcefully took $200 from the attendant before making his escape in the stolen BMW. The abandoned stolen vehicle was later discovered in the 100 block of Prince Street.
The suspect is a black male, standing at around 6 feet tall, and has a medium build. He was last spotted donning black Puma sweatpants with a white stripe running along both sides of his legs. Additionally, he wore a black hooded sweatshirt, a blue/purple mask, and white sneakers.
Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé encourages individuals who have information about the suspect or the incident to step forward. The department is dedicated to safeguarding the community and emphasizes the importance of public cooperation in apprehending the suspect.
