Mocobizscene– Last week, a woman was captured on camera making a racist remark, saying “I hate Mexicans,” in a Disneyland bathroom. This incident has sparked outrage and led to the arrest of a prominent street vendor activist. In response to the woman’s offensive comment, the activist organized a protest outside her home on Sunday.
Late last week, a distressing incident occurred at Disneyland when Eva Ramirez captured a video of another woman making racist remarks. This incident took place in the bathroom, where Ramirez and her son were conversing in Spanish. Ramirez mentioned that they were having a great time at the theme park, celebrating her son’s birthday, when the disagreement began over a bathroom stall.
“I’m currently at Disneyland when suddenly a woman overhears me speaking Spanish and shockingly blurts out, ‘Oh, wonderful! You’re a Mexican, aren’t you?’ Can you believe it?,” Ramirez addresses the woman in the video, visibly taken aback. “Do you genuinely have an issue with individuals who speak Spanish in your own country?”
The unidentified woman confidently asserts, “Yeah, but it’s America. It’s America. You don’t speak Spanish in America. It’s an English-speaking country.”
Ramirez firmly states that the comment made is racist and completely unrelated to the topic of using the restroom. Ramirez expressed her disappointment on social media after encountering such behavior firsthand.
“I’m amazed that it’s already 2023 and we’re still dealing with so much hatred and bigotry. What’s even more shocking is that this individual didn’t even try to hide it,” she expressed in her Instagram post.
According to her statement, the larger restroom stalls in Disneyland bathrooms are intended for mothers and children. She also pointed out that these stalls do not have a handicap sign. Furthermore, security personnel did not remove the women involved in the incident from the park, as it was only a verbal confrontation.
In her post, Ramirez expressed her thoughts on the issue, emphasizing that racism begins within our own homes. She shared her personal experience, admitting that she never expected to encounter such a situation. Despite her initial inclination to ignore such behavior, Ramirez felt compelled to take a stand, especially in the presence of her son. She firmly declared that no one has the right to shout at her or her child and dictate the language they speak in.
On Sunday, a cellphone video captured authorities in Apple Valley arresting Alex Enamorado, who activists claim was protesting outside the home of the woman filmed making racist remarks.
Enamorado’s method of obtaining the Disneyland exchange information and locating the woman’s address remains unknown. The charges on which the activist was arrested have yet to be disclosed by the police.
