VB man reportedly leads police auto chase with abduction victim: Police

According to North Carolina police, a man from Virginia Beach is now facing felony charges following a high-speed chase that resulted in a crash. Reportedly, a kidnapped woman was found in the car. According to authorities, a woman from Virginia Beach was kidnapped by Joshua Stokes, a 36-year-old man, who later led the police on a high-speed chase, reaching speeds of up to 146 miles per hour.

According to the authorities, Stokes had a protective order against him from the victim, and following the abduction, an Ashanti Alert was issued for her safety.

Next week, Stokes will have to appear in court in the Raleigh area, after which he will be extradited back to Virginia to confront further charges.
