Suspect Allegedly Commits Armed Robberies At 2 Businesses in Northwest DC

Mocobizscene-  The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) in Washington D.C. is asking for assistance in identifying a suspect who carried out armed robberies at two businesses in the Northwest area of the city.

On January 4th, around 3 p.m., the initial robbery occurred in the 3000 block of Q St., NW. According to the police, a suspect entered a business and approached an employee, brandishing a firearm. The suspect demanded money from the cash register, but due to the establishment being cashless, they were unable to obtain any. Nevertheless, the suspect managed to take some property from the store before fleeing the scene.

On January 5th, at approximately 5 p.m., the second robbery occurred in the 2400 block of 37th St., NW. According to the MPD, the suspect entered a business and approached an employee, brandishing a gun. He proceeded to steal money from the cash register and property from the store before making his escape.
