Mocobizscene- Tornadoes touched down in two areas of South Florida during the stormy Sunday – in the Florida Keys and SW Miami-Dade. According to the National Weather Service Key West, the Torch Keys and Cudjoe Key were hit by a tornado.
NWS crews went to survey the extent of damage on Sunday afternoon, although it remains unclear how severe the damage is. According to NWS Miami, a brief tornado of unknown intensity was reported to have touched down around 2:55 p.m., approximately four miles north of the intersection of SW 8th Street and Krome Avenue in SW Miami-Dade.
The extent of injuries or damage caused by this tornado remains unknown. The National Weather Service has yet to confirm other potential tornadoes in Davie and Pembroke Pines.
