Scooterist steals a 14-year-old Harlem girl’s chain

NEW YORK– On Wednesday, police unveiled a picture of a man who was riding a scooter and may have stolen a teenage girl’s chain in Harlem earlier this month.

The incident occurred on Friday, January 12, at around 4:15 p.m., in the area of West 148th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. The suspect approached the 14-year-old girl from behind and took her necklace from her neck.
After that, investigators said, the suspect escaped south on St. Nicholas Avenue on a moped being driven by a second, unidentified individual.

The girl escaped this incident unscathed.
